The John Allen Parent Council provides Classroom Instructional Grants that offer Allen staff funds for supplemental student materials, programming, or extra field trips in addition to the budget the district allows.  Awards up to $250.00 per applicant are awarded each school year.

Classroom educators, instructional and support staff may apply for one grant in the fall (due November 15th) and in the spring (March 15th). Teachers who have not previously applied, or who applied but did not receive a grant in the fall will be considered first for the grants allocated in the spring.  Awarded grants must be utilized within the current school year of approval. Please research pricing of proposed items and be as detailed as possible in your grant application.

We encourage all Allen classroom educators, instructional and support staff to apply.  Applications that impact a positive creative learning environment in the classroom with the goal of reaching all students to become lifelong learners is a funding priority and adheres to the mission of the John Allen Parent Council.
