How do snacks work in school?
  • At the beginning of the school year, the teachers will have minimal snacks on hand, so pack something for your child to have snack in the afternoon. Please check with your child's teacher for specific snack policy due to potential food allergies.
  • Ask your teacher about the classroom community fruit/vegetable basket. Parents can donate fresh fruit to their child's classroom basket to help ensure that every child who needs a snack gets a snack every day. Parent Council funds will help supplement the baskets throughout the year as well. We will also be having classroom COMPOST bins for fresh fruit and veggie scraps that the students will empty in our outdoor classroom compost bin.
