- Parent Orientation of Parent Council: Join us and the Principal to learn about all of the events that happen at Allen and get any questions answered that you may have. Please come and share your thoughts about how we can create a welcoming community at Allen where we all work together to develop life long learners.

- Chipotle Dine to Donate: Take the night off from cooking dinner and join Allen at Chipotle! Chipotle will give back 33% of total sales to Allen. 3354 Washtenaw Ave. Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (734-975-9912).
- Trunk or Treat: This is an opportunity for the kids to get dressed up in their costumes, hang out with their school friends, and have fun together! Join us in decorating the trunk of your car and hand out candy or trinkets, play themed games, dance to some fun music, and play on the playground.

- Fall Book fair: The Scholastic Book Fair is THIS WEEK!!! THANK YOU to all of those parents who have signed up to volunteer and make this fair a success (everyone who volunteers will receive 20% off their purchases!) The book fair monies earned go directly to our school librarian who keeps our collections and technology current while encouraging all students to enjoy reading. Located on Allen campus in the media center.

- Disability Awareness Workshop: This educational and informative program is supported by AAPS and offers 4th graders the opportunity to experience some of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. - Book Fair: Allen Library book fair happens during the reading month of March and funds earned go directly to our school librarian who keeps our collections current, technology, and encourages all students to enjoy reading. - Multicultural Night: Allen School is privileged to be one of the most culturally diverse elementary schools in Ann Arbor. We have a population representing over 100 countries. We celebrate this diversity with a multicultural potluck every year. This is a great opportunity for Allen families to mingle and taste cuisines from around the world. There are even multicultural performances by various local artists. It is one of the most-popular and anticipated events of the school year! Located on Allen campus in the great room.

- Teacher Appreciation Week: May is teacher appreciation month and we as a community find creative ways to celebrate our Allen teachers during this month especially during the official teacher appreciation week.
- Science Olympiad: A county-wide event for 2nd-5th grade students. It is usually held on a weekend in May at Pioneer High School. The students may select up to three events or more, if they can manage, out of 15-18 events available to them, or express interest in a new topic. From February to May these students work with a coach learning and polishing their skills in after-school hours or on the weekends (subject to coach availability). - Country Fair: Come join us in CELEBRATING the end of the school year at our BIGGEST parent council event of the year! Visit with friends, take home memorable pictures from the photo booth, play carnival games, take home prizes, get wet at the water balloon toss challenge, stick your hands in wax & take home some art, pet some animals, buy dinner, enjoy dessert at the cupcake walk, explore an ambulance, touch a fire truck, take home a FREE summer reading book, and more....all on the Allen campus! PARENTS MUST STAY

- Movie Nights: Movie nights are held in the Allen Great Room on select Fridays during the school year, these events offer a chance for families to enjoy a FREE movie. The kids LOVE them! Concessions are available for purchase. Proceeds support the efforts of the Allen Parent Council. PARENTS MUST STAY
- Grade Level Fun Nights: $50 per year is available to each grade level to host a Fun Night. Fun Nights are arranged and chaperoned by parents - be creative! Some ideas: Sledding & hot cocoa, Game night, Ice Cream Sundae creations, Lego night, Crafting night, Paper Airplane creations, Popsicle on the playground, movie & popcorn, Etc... PARENTS MUST STAY
- Restaurant Nights: Work with local restaurants to book a night where a percentage of proceeds from sales come back to Allen Parent Council. PARENTS MUST STAY
- Parents Night Out: Meet other Allen parents for a fun relaxing adult only parent night out at a local restaurant or brewery where a percentage of the total purchases goes back to Allen.
- Show your support at the PTO Thrift Shop: About every two weeks, starting Sept. 30th, four schools will compete for the most “votes” to earn their part of $1500. For each $5 purchase, a shopper receives one token to drop into the Allen bucket. If one PTO receives 45% of the total tokens, then that PTO will receive 45% of the $1500. Families can also purchase shapes ($1 Stars, $2 Apples, and $5 Buses) to support Allen parent council! 100% of shape sales go towards parent council funds.

- Welcome Back "Donuts at Drop Off": Join parent council for some donuts and coffee at drop off as you walk your kiddo into school in his/her first day of school!
- Fall Spirit Wear Shop: Allen Spirit wear shop
- Fun Run Kick-off Assembly: Parent Council lead assembly informing the student body what exactly the fun run is and why it is important for us to raise money for Allen.
October:
- National Walk or Bike to School Day: National walk or bike to school day is traditionally the first Wednesday in October. Our school is registered to participate in this national event this year.
- Pajama Fun Run: This is our primary fundraiser where donations aid in expanding the academic learning opportunities for our students by sponsoring field trips, teacher grants, technology programs, curriculum enhancement, green initiatives, playground equipment, in school assemblies, clubs, Science Olympiad, Disability Awareness workshop, theatrical play, teacher appreciation, building enhancements, outdoor classrooms, and community building events. We appreciate EVERY donation given to Allen. Each donation will help our students create a sense of Allen Eagle Pride while at the same time help them develop into lifelong learners by enriching their learning environment.

- Airtime Trampoline: Come and Jump with the Allen community for a fun fundraising event! Jump for 2 hours (Anytime between 3:00-11:00 pm) for $15 with $5 per jumper going back to the Allen! PARENTS MUST STAY. 800 W. Eisenhower Pkwy, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 (734-470-0040)
- Square One Art Orders: Our awesome new art teacher, Mrs. Conner, is helping guide our students to create their own master piece that parents will be able to purchase on mugs, stickers, blank cards, bags, etc...with their child's own art work on it! These make memorable gifts for the holidays! Order forms will be sent home along with a picture of your child's artwork which can be ordered online or via the paper order form sent home.

- Allen Kids Act! Annual Spring Musical - Parent Meeting: 3rd-5th grade auditions for principal roles. 2nd Grade may join the Ensemble - no auditions. This is a mandatory meeting if your child that is interested in participating in the spring musical.

- Allen Kids Act! Annual Spring Musical: This group provides an opportunity for students to participate in a Broadway-style musical teaching them about all the steps along the way. There are several ways to participate: Tryout for a part, help build the set, help create the costumes, promote the showtimes at your workplace, and buy tickets to watch one of the showtimes!
